Carrum boys take on the inaugural Head of the Schoolboys

Published Sat 11 Feb 2017

The Head of the Schoolboys concept has been developed to bring the best school and club rowers together to compete in an inclusive, multi-event regatta. The race format for the regatta saw athletes compete in shorter, ‘sprint’ heats followed by full length finals. The concept provided close and fierce racing where every berth in the finals was hotly contested.

Ballarat put on it's best weather as our athletes raced in small boats (singles and doubles) in stunning conditions!

We had strong rowing across the board with a number of final/A-final appearances by our boys. A special mention needs to go to Tim and Daniel who placed 3rd and 4th respectively in the Year 9 Boys Single Scull Div1. Well done on a fantastic day of rowing everyone!
